when did dogs become “fur people”?
i have heard this term more and more lately to discribe dogs, anyone know when a dog stopped being a dog and started being a “fur person”?
The “fur child” or “fur babies” or “fur people” has see a slow steady increase in use in the last 7 years or so. I think it is a symptom of the growing animal rights agenda.
Get everyone to think of their pets as “equal” to humans in everyway, make it politically incorrect, to the point of finger pointing and guilt trips, to say you own, sell or buy pets and control of your own property, (your pets) slips out of your hands!
This is the reason I never “adopt” my dogs, I sell or buy them. I never call them my fur kids or whatever humanised term, they are my dogs, their puppies are not babies, they are puppies. (Puppies are cuter anyway!) And I will fight the loss of my right to OWN dogs, including the privelages of property
rights, tooth and nail!
